Facts about Burmese Cats

Generally, the head of the Burmese is rounded in shape, as well as the tips of their ears, the eyes, chin and even their feet are round. It appeals as a stocky cat but it is very muscular and heavy boning. Its eye color typically depends on the breed of their original ancestry, and it usually comes in green, gold and yellow.

Its legs are proportionate to the body with slightly longer in the back than in the front, it is medium-length in size with round paws. These cats’ tails are tapered and medium in length that has no kinks or bumps.

Female Burmese cats weigh an average of 8 – 9 pounds while males can reach around 10 – 15 pounds. It is a relatively medium sized cat breed.

These cats are also unique because of their admirable attitude. Burmese cats, like any other cats, are generally carnivorous. Usually pet cats such as the Burmese can get its complete nutrients with variety of cat foods available in local pet stores and even online. The general guideline when feeding cats is that the cat food should have high and balanced levels of amino acids, vitamins, fiber, minerals and fats to maintain its health and keep it away from diseases.

In terms of its health, as mentioned earlier, Burmese’s doesn’t have any health issues and have a relatively long life expectancy. Although, these cats are generally healthy you still need to provide all its necessities so that you as the owner can keep them healthy and happy.
